Key Responsibilities
Script Breakdown: analyzing the script before shooting, identifying key elements such as scenes, dialogue, and character actions. This breakdown helps plan the shooting schedule and resource allocation.
Continuity Management: ensuring that all elements of the scenes remain consistent from shot to shot. This includes tracking props, costumes, and actor positions to maintain visual and narrative continuity.
Notes and Documentation: keeping detailed notes during filming, recording any changes made to the script, actor performances, and shot specifics. This documentation is essential for the editing process and future reference.
Communication Hub: serving as the main point of contact between the director, cinematographer, and other departments, ensuring everyone is informed about script-related updates and continuity and visual lines issues.
Timing and Pacing: monitoring the timing of scenes to ensure that the pacing aligns with the director’s vision, helping to maintain the overall flow of the production.
Digital Workflow: By utilizing digital tools, Alex streamlines communication and documentation processes, allowing for real-time updates and easy access to information for the entire team.
